El Sol

Devoción doesn't carry the largest lineup, but what's on the shelf carries real quality. El Sol is their 100% Colombian house blend, sourced only from currently-harvesting regions in Colombia, never warehoused beans or third-party importers, roasted in Brooklyn and shipped as little as 10 days from origin to cup. Devoción's own tasting notes call it peach, caramel, and cinnamon, washed process, grown around 1,800 meters.

One thing worth calling out: they let you choose the grind matched to your actual brew method, whether that's pour over, Aeropress, Chemex, or espresso, so you're set up for a genuinely dialed-in cup rather than a generic grind. But I will still judge you if you aren't getting your coffee whole bean.

This is regularly on my small gift list, and it's become a go-to stocking stuffer come the holidays.
