American Gin

Aviation is a cleaner, less floral take than a lot of what's out there, softer on the juniper with a rounded, slightly spiced feel from cardamom and lavender sitting under citrus peel. It's an easy one to reach for when you don't want the gin fighting you. My slightly unserious move: Aviation with cranberry and a splash of something fizzy, poolside, no apologies. Approachable enough that it doesn't need a cocktail to be worth pouring, good enough that it holds up when you give it one.
