Age Defender Cream Moisturizer
I know a lot of people are Kiehl's fans, and historically they have been a default for me (they usually have some great sales throughout the year that have always allowed me to stock up). In one of my efforts to take better care of my face this was one of the purchases during the aforementioned sale bulk orders.
This is Age Defender Cream Moisturizer. Kiehl's calls it their first all-in-one anti-aging moisturizer for men, made for thicker, coarser skin. The page says it is clinically demonstrated to visibly lift and firm skin and minimize the look of fine lines and wrinkles. The three ingredients they put up front are LHA to exfoliate, linseed extract to firm, and caffeine to take the dullness down. They encourage use on face and neck (I usually always forget my neck, Recco is helping me get better at skincare I swear!). I’ll start with what I really liked about this moisturizer. As someone who lives in Florida and occasionally may end up spending too much time in the sun, this often felt like it was cooling my face if I put it on after a long day out. What I wasn’t a big fan of is how thick / heavy it felt going on the face. As mentioned in their description on the site it’s for thicker coarser skin and maybe that’s part of it but if consistent use is the goal I found myself turned off from using it during the day. It has sat as a regular use for evenings after long days in the sun, but has turned into more of a niche use moisturizer for me than my daily preference.
This is a Worth a Try for me, I know a lot of skincare is preference based and this could be the exact thing you are looking for, it wasn’t so much that I was disappointed or dissatisfied with the product, but I feel like I would have been equally happy with their Facial Fuel moisturizer that costs roughly 50% less. It could also be that maybe I’m not “old” enough to need this, though I somehow highly doubt that is the case.
