Payntr was 2025's Black Friday golf shoe purchase at an excellent discount of around 50% off. This is one of the key brands I am watching come holiday season. I have worn the Payntr X 003 (now discontinued) for the last 11 months and they are still going strong. A comparable shoe I am eyeing this year is the All Day SC, but let me take a minute and share what I love about the old X 003s that leaves me confident to pick up another pair.
A clearance sale shoe that lasts all year and continues to offer a comfortable walk during 18 holes is a shoe that deserves some attention. This is a shoe that has been through quite a few rounds of Florida rain, and its waterproof materials let it hold up. I also found the shoe a bit more breathable, which I think helped it dry out a little quicker than some of the other shoes I have had. The spikeless tread offered me more traction than I had on previous spikeless shoes. I'm sure if I was actually a great golfer that might have an impact on my game, but alas my problems are far bigger than traction.
The complaint that comes to mind for the shoe is minor, although a little baffling. I found the laces that came with the shoe to be incredibly short. Why are you trying to make me struggle to tie a knot? Give me an inch or two more on the lace and I'd be happy. The silver lining here is that once I got them knotted I didn't have issues with them coming undone, but it's just kind of confusing that such a detail would be off when everything else about the shoe is on point.
One of the most important things in a golf shoe is a comfortable fit, especially when you are walking your round. A year into these shoes, there is no pinching or deterioration around the padding or in the heel. I got the shoe in a size 11 (my usual) and thought they fit true to size. I could have sized up to an 11.5 without an issue, but I don't feel it was necessary. Payntr's All Day SC was also named MyGolfSpy's best spikeless golf shoe of 2025, so I am not alone in my love for the brand. Payntr offers a great reminder of why you should shop for golf shoes from a golf focused brand. The attention to detail and understanding of what's needed during a round lead to a shoe you'll look forward to putting on and walking a few miles in.
The Payntr X 003 is a clear Take My Money, and looking at the improvements in the current generation's materials, comfort and waterproofing, I am confident it won't be the last pair I own from them. Deal season is coming, and few things feel better than a great product at a great price.
